Wants an end to cancer-causing and polluting private fireworks

The Norwegian Environmental Protection Association (NMF) demands that the ministry impose a ban on the sale and possession of fireworks to private individuals from 2019 and that all use of fireworks from now on takes place under public auspices. Because of the health and environmental damage, damage to material and potential danger to infrastructure and people that we see today.

Norway once again entered a new year in which damage to people, property and potentially many more accidents are the result of a completely uncontrolled use of fireworks by private individuals. Some of these are unstable people who can greatly benefit from the access to "license-free weapons", i.e. fireworks for evil purposes. Fireworks do not require a shooting test according to the Weapons Act, - says the head of the Environmental Protection Association, Kurt Oddekalv.
