Sporveien AS with serious failure in internal control

It is serious and critical that such a large company as Sporveien does not have better routines and controls than what appears to have contributed to the discharge from the tank plant at Ryen, says regional manager for Eastern Norway in the Norwegian Environmental Protection Association Jan-Hugo Holten in a comment to NTB .

Holten is concerned about the Oslofjord's exposure from several sources to pollution and the reduction of the fjord's environment. Ongoing illegal emissions from the Ekeberg tank plant at Statoil and leakage from the so-called deep water landfill at Malmøya are some of the sources.

The politicians in the Oslofjord municipalities have a job to do to reduce the extent of pollution, says Holten.

NMF has at 23:00 31 May 2018 Sporveien AS sent notification to Oslo police district (link on NRK.no) for breach of the Pollution Act and the Internal Control Regulations.
