The Environmental Protection Association is in its 10th month on the issue we have worked hard on, once again as the only environmental organisation. We have reported Skedsmo municipality, they have been under investigation since May 2018.
This week we asked the public prosecutor in Oslo and Akershus to supervise the local police chamber as we are afraid they are not doing their job on investigation and to protect the population against the risk of explosions.
In the meantime, the NMF has demanded in a letter to the Norwegian Environment Agency and the ministry the remediation of the landfill, and in a letter to the Ministry of Local Government has demanded a ban on construction on and near landfills and that closed landfills must be registered in the GAB register.
